Days riddled with sunlight, I’d blow it all away
All I live to be ripped wide open, it smiles down on me
For every grain of sand on unconscious shores, there’s a bomb and the tick is blaring from the heavens to the ocean floor
DETONATE
Days riddled with sunlight, I’d blow it all away
Why does it smile down on me?
Shining on my insides, show it how I bleed
Soaking wet with crimson that fills unconscious seas
Shining on my insides, show it how I bleed
Soaking wet with crimson, I feel its eyes on me
Circling, we claw away back and forth until I don’t feel human
Laughing down on this arena, this bloodsport
Why?
Staring back through the eyes of grief they’ve given me so I don’t see a worth in loving, enduring, trusting in this world that surrounds me
Days riddled with sunlight, I’d blow it all away
There’s a bomb for every time betrayed
One for every insecurity
One for every day that obliterates like war that blasts through the heavens, that blasts the ocean floor
Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
